allow me if you will...
last week i had the distinct pleasure of seeing mr. bob dylan play twice at the auditorium theatre here in chicago. excuse the triteness, but i was freaking out. i had seen him once before, but not 7th row center?!^%$!$ i was trying to channel his soul and lyrical acumen by osmosis. on the second night he played many old songs; to hear bob dylan, that young kid in don't look back, playing "the times they are a-changin'" as an old man, was nothing short of amazing. not much else to say other than standing there watching the curtain go down on dylan, i felt like i got away with one. to be a part of something far older than myself or the age i live in...not just a rite of passage, much more than that...a glimpse at what the true importance is of timeless music.
