good evening
i hope you have been making plans, scratching days off of your no-frills
honor calendar, calling people and meeting them, turning leaves and corners.
am home from europe...dublin bars, french left banks, american cemeteries,
italian blackouts and munich hospitals. i have been in the studio turning
dials on the songs for the new record. we are gonna call it Street Ballads
& Murderesques, maybe you already knew that or didn't. it was recorded
completely live and thus is sparse, but with much weight. it's 11 stories
long. chicago shows are in the works for late summer. changes are being
made, foxholes dug, phonelines cut and so many ammendments. see you sooner
