well well well, how is everyone?
sorry i have been an absentee. did you remember to register to vote? takes
two seconds, the link is on the front page of my site. lots has been going on...i just started the fall tour with Rachael Yamagata last week in Austin...we played at the Austin City Limits Festival...one of the most fun and best organized outdoor festivals i have been too. shared the stage with The Roots, Wilco, and Ben Harper. watched the very talented ben kweller from sidestage; mr. elvis costello played in a purple coat, beautifully. arrived in Boston about an hour ago, played two shows in Philadelphia last night. Please check the TOUR section of the site for the midwest shows that i will be opening. Also on the tour is the incomparable Tom McRae, an amazing singer and writer from the UK.
just before i left, i was close to finishing a recording of Depression Glass. heading back to chicago on the 29th to finish that song. we are going to add it to "Stories..." when it is re-released. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Metro in Chicago on 9/30. I am on at dinner time, 6:30 like a tac.
