hello patrons of the arts-
you look nice tonight. couple things....the new kevin tihista record is
beautiful, please go check that out. the last two nights were a blast at
the jeff buckley tribute shows...held at uncommon ground, put together by
the incomparable michael cameron. timmy and i played "lilac wine" and "lover
you should've come over." hope to get a sample up on the site by next week.
there were some amazing renditions both nights. apparently they got like
588 or so submissions from around the world to perform, so we were blessed
to be a part of these shows. met all kinds of characters from rome,
manchester, sydney, brooklyn of course, and all over the rest of the states.

oh yeah...so i went to the throat doctor today; that's the dept. of
otolaryngology for you smarty pants. funny name, serious place. good news
is my throat overall looks better than it did when it was shot to hell in
august. bad news is my left vocal cord looks like someone took a cheese
grater to it. what that means is two weeks of voice rest and lots of
writing, but no singing, humming, coughing, clearing my throat, drinking
vodka, making cat calls, whistling, bellowing, crooning, sneezing, even
thinking thoughts of speech. going to try to keep on schedule for recording
in early december, but may push back, so i can play on dec. 3rd. i have no
plans to cancel any shows. i love you too much. i have not permanently
scarred my voice but i have just had a very busy year with much travel and
much sing-songin'. so, think soothing thoughts and maybe my next record will
sound like tom waits, if i were only so lucky.
your mama loves you
cameron
